Karen Hubbell
Karen Hubbell was born in San Jose, California and is a native of Willow Glen. She attended St. Christopher's and Presentation High School. She commenced working the area of Family Law in 1985, where she worked as a legal secretary and Paralegal for a Family Law Attorney. She later went to the highly regarded Law Firm of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley. She joined the Family Law team of Ropers, Majeski where she gained further experience in settling, mediating & litigating cases. After being the sole remaining Family Law Attorney at Ropers, Majeski, Karen decided to open her own practice starting in 2008.
Karen continues to practice exclusively family law, representing clients on custody, paternity, child and spousal support, post-Judgment modification of custody, support and move-away cases, property characterization and division and restraining orders. She has also worked with clients as a consulting or drafting attorney and mediator.
Karen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Jose State University. She also obtained a Paralegal Certification through San Jose State University. She continued with her interest in the legal field and desire to help families by attending Lincoln University. Karen received her law degree from Lincoln University in 1993, where she received a Jurisprudence award in real property. Some of her work was also published in the Lincoln Newsletter.
Ms. Hubbell is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and also has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court for more than fourteen years. She continues to volunteer her time to assist the Court with settlement of cases between self-represented parties and those with attorneys.
Karen is married and the mother of two daughters. She enjoys gardening, doing home improvement projects as well as cheering on her favorite teams, the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors.
Karen provides over 25 years' experience with personalized attention when a family needs it the most.
